SUMMARY
If you invert selection to select a small area from selecting the whole rest of the canvas, somehow the selection size ends up being the size of whole canvas.

git d65c3f4

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. draw a closed shape, such as a small circle or whatnot.
2. select the outside area of that shape with contiguous selection tool, and then invert the selection(Ctrl + Shift + I).
3. Fill the shape using bucket(fill) tool or shortcuts.

OBSERVED RESULT
The layer size expands to the maximum.

EXPECTED RESULT
It should stay small, the size about the shape itself.

Nevermind. There was a bug but this report was not addressing the issue properly. I'm writing another one.
