tooltip prompt locking up the desktop

SUMMARY

The date/time tooltip prompt sometimes locks up when viewed (see attachment).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Hover over system tray
2. Move mouse back and forth, just slow enough for the tooltips to show
3. Repeat step 2 as necesssary, should trigger within 5 iterations.

OBSERVED RESULT
The tooltip will bug out and the desktop background fades to gray. Additionally mouse input for KDE Plasma desktop appears to break (though application windows may still be interacted with).

EXPECTED RESULT
The tooltip is shown as normal

Can intermittently confirm. This is not 100% reproducible for me, but I have seen it. It's, like, 20% reproducible.
