SUMMARY
While I'm playing doom, no effects like shadows and animations are rendered

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run GZDoom
2. Observe bug

All effects are rendered properly

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 21.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 (X11)
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Using NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 gpu, bug observed with both nouveau and propietary nvidia driver.

Video games usually block compositing, which disables drop shadows drawn by kwin. You can force compositing in the compositor settings by unchecking "Allow applications to block compositing", but it can worsen performance.

This issue is not present on Wayland, but since you have an NVIDIA GPU, you're going to encounter other issues.
