Description Ben 2021-10-11 14:38:23 UTC
SUGGESTION:
I'm not sure if feature requests are welcome here, but I thought it would be nice if there was an option to disable the task scrolling animation on docks with too many icons to fit the screen.

I figure, scrolling at a rate of 1 task applet per mouse wheel scroll would be ideal.

JUSTIFICATION:
Task switching is a very common action to perform as part of most if not all daily workflows. Waiting for animations can be very frustrating and disruptive when it's for such a core (and frequently used) function of the dock.

Personally, if I want to switch an app and the app is scrolled off-screen, I'm much more concerned with getting to that task quickly & accurately than I am about the aesthetics of how I achieve it.

PROBLEMS:
I'm not sure how well this would work on devices with pixel-perfect scrolling.

I dont agree. Each user should decide if wants scrolling or auto-sized items both can be enabled / disabled from the user
