SUMMARY I think there should be an ability to just install the official global theme Oxygen and enable it, instead of searching through third party themes that try to resemble the look of Oxygen. It doesn't even have to be updated, just the theme existing in the 'Get New Global Themes' store would be nice. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS n/a ADDITIONAL INFORMATION none
The Oxygen global theme requires the Oxygen widget style, which cannot be added to the store because it has compiled code, and the only sensible way to distribute compiled code is using a package manager to account for the differences between distros. We could add the Oxygen Plasma and icon themes, I suppose.
Oxygen Window Decorations and Cursors aren't there by default either, it would be nice to have those too in addition to the plasma (isn't that installed by default though?) and icon themes. And yes, that seems like a good option. The main problem I had was with having to install third party themes that were modifications on Oxygen, but not the actual thing. Actually, can the default Breeze theme also be added to the store? I don't remember which, but I've seen a distro that had a modified Breeze theme by default, without providing the unmodified version. in cases like that, it'd be nice to have the official themes in the store.
Is it also possible to add the Window Decorations of Breeze before 5.21? The ones with the gradient? Because those looked beautiful with the Breeze Classic color scheme.
You can replicate that yourself by simply turning the gradient back on in the Breeze Window Decoration settings.
Ooh, thank you! I wasn't aware of that!
