Description Philip Murray 2021-10-01 21:47:55 UTC
SUMMARY
The Breeze Kaffeine icon is bad. The old icon of a brown coffee bean was clear on the system tray & taskbar, simple & recognisable. The Breeze icon is a top-down view of a white cup of coffee with a spoon next to it, the white cup is almost invisible on a light coloured taskbar. The spoon is barely visible so the 16px icon is just a small brown dot basically.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Kaffeine.
2. Have light-coloured taskbar/system tray.
3. Use Breeze icons.

OBSERVED RESULT
Clarity of the icon is very poor.

EXPECTED RESULT
Old brown coffee bean has superior contrast & recognisability.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 11
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.10.0-8-amd64
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz
Memory: 7.7 GiB of RAM

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Kaffeine is a great bit of software. Its old branding of a coffee bean or coffee bean in front of a movie 'action' clipboard was more clear & appropriate to it as a brand than the new top-down view of a nearly invisible white cup of coffee or tea.

And who ever puts a coffee cup on a saucer anyway, plus a spoon goes with tea to fish out the tea bag, not coffee (unless its one of those coffee-bags, eeew). :)
