SUMMARY Intel Coffee Lake-S GT2 - Integrated Graphics Controller is not setup correctly. No failsafe return to former display settings implemented. Just 2 vertical frequencies possible (50Hz or 60Hz) from which 60Hz is incorrectly setup. In 18.04.5 there was at least the option for 59,94Hz STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Boot 21.04 or 18.04 from Bootstick on a FullHD Display connected through a Yamaha RX-V767 Receiver. The system Boots with just 720p resolution. 2. Got to display settings and change resoloution to 1080p. OBSERVED RESULT No HDMI signal is produced. No failsafe fallback after a few seconds. The system is unusable. EXPECTED RESULT The Display should change to 1080p with 60Hz vertical refresh. The Driver should do a fallback if the user does not acknowledge a proper Resolution within 5 seconds. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 18.04.5 and 21.04
