Description empyreal 2021-09-22 20:22:22 UTC
Removable Devices – System Settings
Check device => Apply do not become active and can’t be clicked.
Then check “Automatically mount all removable media when attached” or another option => Apply button becomes active and checked device can be added with selected “Automatically mount all removable media when attached”.
I do not need “Automatically mount all removable media when attached”, so I uncheck it after Apply necessary media.

Problem: I can’t check device only and click Apply button without selecting options under “Enable automatic mounting of removable media”.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Kubuntu 21.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.86.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.11.0-34-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11

Cannot reproduce. All of these things work for me when I try them.

1. Are you trying to click the Apply button with a stylus?
2. Can you attach a screen recording that shows the issue?
Comment 2 empyreal 2021-09-24 19:32:13 UTC
1. It "works" same way with mouse and tablet pen.
2. Nate, if I make video, you'll again say that I am wiggling)))

Just try these steps: Removable Devices => Check/select any additional device => Press Apply.

If everything works as expected for you, then it is specific to my system only or maybe somebody will report it later too.
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2021-09-24 20:03:20 UTC
Yep, that works for me.

But a video is helpful to see exactly *how* you're doing it. :)
