Not a few days back, Microsoft edge got an amazing feature. You can select text from any page and then right click it. there is an option to search in sidebar. Clicking on it will bring a sidebar which is Bing based with results for the search text. Can we implement similarly for Okular?

We have web search in our document viewer (Okular). Why not to create a sidebar search feature within the application instead of launching the browser?

-1: Okular is a document viewer, not a browser, and therefore shouldn’t care about the extra complexity with an embedded browser.

I also do not think that having a browser in the sidebar makes sense. Except if you want to promote your company’s own search engine.

You can already do this from Okular's context menu, but it opens in your browser instead of a sidebar. Embedding a browser in our apps is not really something we do anymore.
