Description Dominik Kummer 2021-09-18 10:34:40 UTC
SUMMARY
Desktop Folder View saves Location on per Activity Basis

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create 2 virtual desktops and 2 activities
2. Assign 2 different desktop folders as location for folder view

OBSERVED RESULT
desktop folder location path is saved per activity basis

EXPECTED RESULT
desktop folder location path should be save per virtual desktop.
though the option "Show: Files linked to the current activity" still makes sense if needed.

Virtual desktops don't have individual saved settings like this; they are purely containers for windows. Same reason they all have the same wallpaper. The intended usage model for this type of thing is Activities, not Virtual Desktops.

Ok I see the usage model now. But the right-click menu on desktop shows "Configure Desktop and Wallpaper..." and should then probably be named "Configure Activity and Wallpaper..."

Activity Settings

oh btw Activity Settings looks a bit incomplete, is it currently redesigned? So to me it seems a bit confusing for users, though the concept and potential of desktop/activity is huge!
