SUMMARY On moving then renaming a file and then editing it a pop-up window appears saying that the permissions of the file prior to it's renaming cannot be changed. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Copy file A from one drive to the Home directory 2. Rename file A to file B 3. Edit file B and save 4. The unknown window pops up saying it cannot change the permissions of file A (which does not exist anymore) 5. File B cannot be moved until the unknown window is closed. OBSERVED RESULT Point 4 above- a window pops up while working. EXPECTED RESULT That this window does not pop-up as has always been the case. I discovered the cause of the problem, the program I use to extract the files did not finish normally and created incomplete finished files. On running that program again with finished, complete files the issue does not arise. Ticket can be closed.
