Created attachment 141660 [details] The clipboard after taking a rectangular screenshot SUMMARY I am using Spectacle to select an area i want to take a screenshot of so I can paste it to Discord. I've allowed the clipboard to accept images, but when selecting an area and releasing the left mouse click, it just adds empty data to the clipboard. However, if Spectacle is open while taking the screenshot, then it works as intended. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. On Spectacle, make sure "Copy image to clipboard", "Take a new Screenshot" and "Accept on click-and-release" are the selected settings. In the clipboard settings, "Ignore images" is unchecked. 2. Click the shortcut key for capturing a rectangular region and select an area to take a screenshot of. 3. Attempt to paste the captured image to a program that would accept it, or check the clipboard to see if the image is there. OBSERVED RESULT After taking a screenshot, the captured image is not in the clipboard and instead an entry with empty data is there instead. EXPECTED RESULT The screenshot should appear inside the clipboard. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.86.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.14.3-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11
I've just configured my spectacle as you described and cannot replicate this issue. Can you please confirm this issue still occurs on a recent version of Plasma, thank you.
