SUMMARY When 'Choose brush preset', for example, is opened; nothing except hitting Esc or clicking on/around the artboard closes it. Would be nice if clicking the 'Choose brush preset' button AGAIN would also close it. As it is: when clicked, it just blinks and stays open. Closes sometimes but only after several rage clicks. I can confirm this on Windows 10 for version 4.4.7 onwards to the Sept 30 5.1.0-prealpha (git f4c5ba277d) portable .zip packages. It affects the Choose Brush Preset and the Choose Workspace icons on the Toolbar. They can not be closed with a click but can be closed with a double-click or a right-click.
I cannot reproduce this on either version on Linux (elementary 7.1) so this could possibly be Windows-specific. If Jehu, Ahab or someone else with a Windows machine could re-confirm this bug for 5.2.6 that would be appreciated! I'll somewhat reluctantly (because it's so recent) label this as NEEDSINFO for now.
This behaviour is still present in the 5.2.6 Windows installation on Windows 10 but is not present on the 5.2.6 appimage. It affects Fill Gradients, Fill Patterns, Choose Brush Preset and Workspaces. There may be other icons, that open selection facilities, which show the same behaviour. Closing the 'selection window' can be done by Esc, right-click, click somewhere on the krita application window, click on another application window. Those selection facilities do not have any kind of 'OK', 'Close' or 'Quit' button. The Edit Brush Settings (Brush Editor) icon does close the Brush Editor when it is clicked but I believe that the Brush Editor uses a different class of window.
