Description kai.letrangere 2021-09-16 01:16:25 UTC
SUMMARY
When attempting to add Typewriter effect to a title clip on a video, the effect displays normally and correctly in the Project Monitor. However, upon rendering the video, there is no typewriter effect and the text appears all at once, as if no effect had been added.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a title clip to a blank project with the typewriter effect enabled, and place it in the timeline.
2. View that Typewriter effect appears in the Project Monitor
3. Render the video, and view that there is no Typewriter effect

OBSERVED RESULT
Typewriter effect did not appear in render.

EXPECTED RESULT
Typewriter effect would appear in render.

Can you please try the latest AppImage or PPA and see if you can reproduce. This might be a packaging issue.

Bug reporter seems to have solved it by deleting their user profile. Unless we know more this doesn't seem actionable.
