Created attachment 141574 [details] System lock settings Hello, I have assembled a new computer with AMD R7 1700 and RX 460 4 GB GPU. I have installed Debian Bullseye 11 and KDE Plasma 5.20.5 on it. I have installed AMD non-free drivers, but I have always a problem: I have set up KDE to lock my session and sleep my screen, but the screen is off only one second and going up immediately on my lock screen. However if I suspend the system with "systemctl suspend" command I don't have this problem. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian 11 Bullseye (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Linux Kernel 5.10.8-amd64
Does it happen with Plasma 5.21 or newer? 5.20 is a bit old at this point.
Hello, thank you for your answer. I am using this version because it it the version in Debian 11 official repositories. Do you think I need to upgrade in unstable version? Very cordially.
You don't *need* to, but it's always nice to be using the latest version when you file a bug report, to minimize the risk of wasting your own time as well as the developers' time because the bug has been fixed in a newer version. In general I think it rarely makes sense to intentionally use old versions of any piece of free software, as this means you're missing out on bugfixes, user interface improvements, and new features.
A few weeks ago the power management stopped working on my Arch Linux. I fixed it by deleting this file ~/.config/powermanagementprofilesrc and restarting Plasma session. Today the problem occured again on the same system running Plasma 5.23 beta after plasma/system settings crash. The fix worked again.
Does the same thing fix it for you, Zacharie?

Hello, I have try to delete the file, my problems appears always. The same on Plasma 5.21. But I have installed Debian 10 (the previous version) on my brother's laptop for compare, and I have found a big problem. A lot of kde packages are not installed on my system, not available on Debian 11 repositories; kde-runtime kde-runtime-data kde-style-breeze-qt4 kdelibs-bin kdelibs5-data kdelibs5-plugins libkde3support4 libkdeclarative5 libkdecore5 libkdesu5 libkdeui5 libkdewebkit5 libkf5kdepimdbusinterfaces5:amd64 libkf5libkdepimakonadi5:amd64 polkit-kde-1 If I download this packages manually, I can't install it because I have a lot of dependancies problem. I don't know what I can do, I will maybe go to the Debian forum for check informations... Very cordially.
Do you have the powerdevil package installed?
Hello, in fact I have this package on my system.
