Description john 2021-09-14 20:51:11 UTC
SUMMARY
crop tool doesn't work after closing the previous image and starting a new one

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. save and close the existing document
2. select new file
3. drag and drop an image as a new layer
4. select crop tool

OBSERVED RESULT
Crop tool does not draw the dark mask as it should. You cannot select the area you want to keep.

EXPECTED RESULT
Crop tool should shade the area that will be left after the cropping action happens. You must close and restart Krita and it works fine the first time.

I'm sorry, I've just tested that with the lastest build from the master branch as well as the latest Krita 4 release -- 4.4.8. It's possible that this bug was fixed since Krita 4.4.3, so please update and check with 4.4.8.
