2. shortcut is well recorded
3. i use this shortcut

EXPECTED RESULT

the app is launched

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.86.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In the past I recorded several shortcuts and no problem.

No problem using these old shortcuts.

Perhaps the update to kde frameworks 5.86.0 broke something.

Hi, I've been unable to reproduce this bug. Here is what I did:

1. Right-Click on application launcher and choose "Edit Applications"
2. Navigate to Utilities => Kate
3. "Advanced" tab, click Current Shortcut Key: None
4. Press Alt-R
5. Click "Save" on the toolbar

Now when I press Alt-R, Kate is launched.

If you are using a different method to record the shortcut, please add details to this bug report.

Thanks

I use exactly the same method as you.

I use :
- xorg, not wayland
- plasma 5.22.5, not 5.22.80
- Qt 5.15.2, not qt 5.15.3

PS : how do you get the details of your conf ? Thanks.

Hmm, I tried it again with a PC configuration similar to yours (except Qt 5.13.3) and it still works for me.

It might be worth trying a different method:

1. Go to System Settings => Shortcuts => Shortcuts
2. Click "Add Application" and navigate to the application you want to launch (I chose Kate)
3. Click "+ Add custom shortcut" and press Alt-R
4. Click Apply

See if that gives any clues!

I get the system info from "Info Centre" where there's a "Copy to Clipboard" button.
