Created attachment 141523 [details] Example of difficult to see folders beneath the cursor whilst dragging image files. SUMMARY: Dragging multiple images to subfolder obscures folders STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Folder with multiple images in it. Folder view set to small small icons (~22px). 2. Drag/select multiple images towards a subfolder. OBSERVED RESULT: A number of thumbnail preview images get grouped in a block under the cursor. When the folders are small icons, it becomes difficult to see the folder because the cursor can be difficult to see amongst the block of thumbnails around it (especially if cursor is black), and the block of thumbnails obscure the folders under them & the light blue surround that appears on a folder when it is in focus as the drop destination isn't easy to see in this situation. EXPECTED RESULT Could the thumbnails be heavily desaturated or limited to maybe 4 at most, or some other indicator be used to indicate the drag & drop operation? In the above screenshots the cursor doesn't seem to appear but that must just be what Spectacle does, but the cursor was in amongst the thumbnails. If the thumbnails weren't directly under the cursor also that might be good, in addition to my above suggestions.
Created attachment 142375 [details] stacked multiple files drag icon Attached pic shows an example multiple files being dragged; it shows the files as a neat stack, which is less messy around the cursor than the current KDE method. The attached PDF example is of PDFs but a generic stacked image, or a generated mix of the mimetype icons for the files being dragged would be equally good.
