SUMMARY Since Debian 11 upgrade, files included in an encrypted container no longer opened by double-clicking. However, when I take these files out of the container, they open without any problem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open veracrypt (or zulucrypt) container 2. Add files (text, photos,...) 3. Double-click on a file OBSERVED RESULT Files don't open EXPECTED RESULT Open files by double-clicking SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian 11 KDE KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION When I try with another file manager (thunar,...) there's no problem.
How exactly are you opening the container? Can you attach a screenshot or a screen recording?
By double-clicking on the highlighted line in VeraCrypt window, as here : https://linuxmasterclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/VeraCrypt.-The-mounted-encrypted-volume.png And Dolphin windows appears.
That image doesn't seem to be accessible to me.

OK, so you click on that and you expect a Dolphin window to appear. The screenshot depicts Windows. Are you using Windows? I thought you said Debian.
Yes, I'm on Debian. This link is just an illustration (veracrypt main window is the same on Linux OS and Windows OS) to show you the highlighted line on which I double-click
Ah, in that case this was caused by a temporary regression in the ability to externally activate Dolphin. It was fixed for Plasma 5.23. I would recommend upgrading once 5.23 is released (in a little less than a month), if you can.
Thank you very much. I don't know if this will be possible easily because in dd, applications don't evolve much in the repositories between major OS versions.
