Created attachment 141332 [details] gdb kdenlive log SUMMARY After some time in a project, kdenlive crashes with "The Wayland connection broke. Did the Wayland compositor die?" the only thing in ".local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log" says "error in client communication (pid 73777)" STEPS TO REPRODUCE i have no idea, because it happens randomly - so the following might be inaccurate - open kdenlive - open 2 clips (that was how it is in my project) - put the clips on the timeline - do something to it (like enable thumbnailing, scrubbing around, play it, try to "cut here") OBSERVED RESULT crashes on wayland EXPECTED RESULT to not crash SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.85.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.14.0-0-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Radeon RX Vega ADDITIONAL INFORMATION i dont have much experience with gdb, so the attachment is all i got for now also, i dont know how to debug wayland further PS: before i can get any backtrace, kdenlive already exited and gdb (for "thread apply all backtrace") only returns nothing
Tried it again, and now it does not crash for me anymore, current versions: Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.91.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.16.14-1-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX Vega kdenlive: 21.12.3
