SUMMARY
Microphone settings are reset after plugging another microphone with different sound card. I don't know if its pulseaudio or kde bug, so i report here first.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set your current microphone to some volume (ex: 35%)
2. Plug in another mic through different sound card

OBSERVED RESULT
Your primary mic now reset to 100% volume

EXPECTED RESULT
Each microphone should maintain its settings

I think it is most likely a PulseAudio issue, but just to be sure can you please attach the output of running "pactl list" from before and after?
