SUMMARY Whenever I start JuK, it starts with the volume muted and I have to manually adjust it someone else. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch JuK. 2. As it will launch muted, set the volume to some custom setting. 3. Close JuK and launch it again. OBSERVED RESULT Starts again muted, ignoring the setting that was configured before. EXPECTED RESULT Should keep the volume that was configured before. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
On further inspection, this happens only when disabling the option "Dock in system tray". If that setting is turned on, then it will remember the volume next time instead of starting muted.
This bug seems to be related to the just posted bug where the volume gets reset to -2million%... https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452191
Bug is kind of solved in the latest version. It keeps the volume now, but doesn't show how much volume it has.

I still encounter this bug on my laptop. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Debian GNU/LINUX 12.9 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8

You're one major version behind where it is fixed. I'm referring to Plasma 6, Qt 6, Frameworks 6. To get a newer version on the current version of Debian you're using, you'd be best off installing Juk from flatpak or snap, which have the latest version.
