Description Petr 2021-08-30 13:06:13 UTC
SUMMARY
when going for "get new gnome/gtk app styles" you get a list of installable styles. many of them contain a plentiful of variants (like "sweet" style), but you can choose only exactly 1 variant to install. previously, you could install as many variants as you wanted, or all of them.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. go to sys settings > app style > gnome/gtk
2. press "get new ..."
3. scroll e.g. "sweet" style, press install
4. a popup list comes up with many variants to choose from.
5. at least i was not able to click on more than one variant. install one of them.

OBSERVED RESULT
button for "install" changes to "uninstall". you're not able to install another variant.

EXPECTED RESULT
some button/link/whatever should stay there to be able install more variants of a multi-variant style.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 33
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.79.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
[ok, i know, 5.20.5 is not the newest version, but the latest available for fedora 33 ... i'm stuck with it]

Can confirm. Once you've installed one variant, the install button on the main page turns into an Uninstall button and you can't go and install more.

The reason this seems like a regression from the old dialog is that it used to be possible to lose track of installed items by explicitly installing another item from an entry which had been previously installed. Basically, this ability was a bug, and so we end up in this situation. This is not to say the ability is not desirable, but it is just annoyingly not quite as straightforward as it might seem on the surface.
