Created attachment 141127 [details] Video showing the Bug SUMMARY When I use the Continuous Selection Tool in Krita 5.0 beta, it selects the surrounding area in the layer rather than the section that I have chosen. It worked perfectly in Krita 4.4.7. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have an Line Art/Ink layer. 2. Add a Base layer that is filled with only one color 3. Lower the opacity of the Line Art/Ink layer 4. Select the are that you want OBSERVED RESULT Selects surrounding area in the base layer rather than the section. EXPECTED RESULT Selects only the section, such as in Krita 4.4.7. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I opened a topic on it in krita-artists.org as [Continuous Selection Tool Bug](https://krita-artists.org/t/continuous-selection-tool-bug/28212/23).
Created attachment 141128 [details] The selection with 4.4.7
Created attachment 141129 [details] The selection with Aug 29 5.1.0-prealpha I can confirm this using the 5.0.0-beta1 and Aug 29 5.1.0-prealpha (git 542dcd3) appimages on Debian 10. The selection that is created is different from that created in the 4.4.7 and 4.4.8 appimages. Illustrative screenshots of the different selections are attached.
I cannot reproduce that here. Is this maybe just a duplicate of Bug 447524? If not, please share an example document and the exact tool settings.
The 5.0.2 appimage shows this problem but the 5.0.6 appimage does not. It does seem to be caused by the Fuzziness value of 1 being displayed on restart but the actual Fuzzines value being higher. If the Fuzziness is increased to 2 then decreased to 1, the selection is as expected with 5.0.2. Unless anyone can show otherwise, I suggest that this bug be marked as Resolved Duplicate as suggested by Lynx3d
