SUMMARY
Haruna remains stuck when reopening same file

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open media file with haruna
2. Close haruna
3. Re-open same file with haruna

OBSERVED RESULT
Last position is restored (even with Settings/Playback/Resume
playback unchecked) and play button is ghosted.

EXPECTED RESULT
Play file from the start.

Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Leap 15.3

Change resume playback setting into 2 settings

Open last played file: when app is started without a file it opens the last played file
Remember time position: when app is started with a file
and the file was played in the past, seek at the position it was last time

Wait, deleting the cache has (again) seemingly fixed it.
