What version of Krusader are you using? Do you have a custom colors configuration? (Maybe some screenshot) In both panels, you should have selected all the files that are not present in the other panel, in the bottom bar you should see that some files are selected.
Dear Davide, in an intzernet forum I found out that pressing Ctrl-Y led me to that window which then permits me to compare the directories. Before that, just only Compare directorie does nothing. Version I think ws 2-6-0? Writing from my office, not from home. greetings Uwe Am 2021-08-22 22:24, schrieb Davide Gianforte: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=441380 > > Davide Gianforte <davide@gengisdave.org> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO > CC| |davide@gengisdave.org > Status|REPORTED |NEEDSINFO > > --- Comment #1 from Davide Gianforte <davide@gengisdave.org> --- > What version of Krusader are you using? Those are two different tools. From Edit - Compare Folders (Alt+Shift+C) you can compare a single level directory, from the same menu you can set the selection policy. From Tools - Synchronize Folders (Ctrl+Y) you have a more powerful tool. You can also take a look to the documentation at 5: Advanced functions - Compare. https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/krusader/krusader/compare.html
Hello, Uwe, In the left panel I had /etc, in the right panel I had /etc/X11, and "Edit > Compare Folders" selected several files. Does the same happen to you?

> The version of my Krusader is Version 2.6.0 "Stiff Challenges" Hello, Uwe, In the left panel I had /usr/bin, in the right panel I had /usr/sbin, and "Edit > Compare Folders" selected several files in both panels. Does the same happen to you?
Hi, i changed my computer and the ubuntu version from 18.04 to 20.04, (more exact: Zorin OS 15.3 to 16) then installed Krusader again, this time version 2.7.2 "Peace of Mind" Now directory comparison works as it should. (Before: press Ctrl-Y to really start comparison was necessary) Thanks for your participation. When I find my bugzilla passwort I wil post this on the website.
