Frame drops oberved in FPS

SUMMARY
Few minutes after boot the UI starts to stutter not sure what the root cause is but it is often accompanied by audio issues (can even crash pulseaudio sometimes)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use youtube and Gmeet for a while.
2. After some duration (sleep & wake increases the chances of this issue) UI starts starts to stutter.

Note. Even after restart plasmashell and kwin_x11 the issue still persists.

>Note. Even after restart plasmashell and kwin_x11 the issue still persists.

Then it's unlikely to be plasmashell or kwin at fault.

is graphics driver the issue then?

Comment 6 Rishabh 2021-10-06 06:02:55 UTC
I can observe high CPU usage in xorg process when the stutter happens. Also confirmed using Intel integrated graphics w/ Mesa driver at the time of stuttering. Is this an Upstream issue. if so why is it only observed in kde neon?
Comment 7 David Edmundson 2024-06-04 10:31:31 UTC
Performance is something we are constantly improving, performance issues in an old release do not contain any actionable information.

Please reopen a new bug against a new version if issues remain.
