STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. create a link to a URL on desktop (you can drag a URL from the internet browser, drop it on desktop and choose "Link here" in the context menu) 2. right-click on desktop, choose "Open with Dolphin" 3. open System Settings > Applications > Default Applications 4. observe what is the current default internet browser (Opera, in my case) 5. set another internet browser as default (I chose Chromium) 6. open, via Dolphin, the link created in the step 1 OBSERVED RESULT the link unexpectedly opens with default browser observed in the step 4. If I restart Dolphin and then open the URL link via Dolphin again, the link opens with the default browser configured in the step 5 as expected. EXPECTED RESULT after the last step, the link should open with default browser configured in the step 5 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.85.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Graphics Platform: Wayland
I'm unable to reproduce with Dolphin 21.12.1 on Arch Linux. It works as expected on neon unstable too.
