Uhh I'm sorry lol, KDE Connect actually shows in the system tray but it's almost the same color as the background so I didn't see it :(
np, try the the windows store build or from https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/kdeconnect-kde_Nightly_win64/
and for the notifications, make sure focus assist is disabled.

I have it disabled, I installed the latest build from https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/kdeconnect-kde_Nightly_win64/ and some features such as Send ping now work, which didn't with the Microsoft Store version. Idk if it's the same version and maybe reinstalling fixed it? no idea, anyways the notifications still don't show. Image showing it's enabled in the config: https://imgur.com/88pkwm1 It's also enabled on the android app. Shows as Notification Sync (literally translated from spanish) Image showing focus assist is disabled: https://imgur.com/nZoIgkI My phone is a Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G if that helps.
Created attachment 140862 [details] attachment-2491-0.html yeah... it's probably an MIUI thing.. can you try with another near-stock Android? Nope, all the phones I own and owned are Xiaomi, would an emulator work? I found this while searching https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=165554 I have no idea how kde forums work but I assume if a "Manager" said it, must be true. I'll give u some specs in case u want to escalate the problem or smth. MIUI ver: Global 12.0.6 Stable Android: 9 Security patch: 2021-05-01 (yy-mm-dd) I found a settings menu with "Special app permissions", notification access is a thing and KDE Connect isn't toggled by default, Your phone companion from Microsoft is. Even after enabling it nothing changes sadly :/ no notifications.
Created attachment 140863 [details] attachment-4323-0.html that's actually a problem we haven't gotten around to fix yet.. the notification APIs for MIUI work differently and we mostly support the Android spec APIs only. It's the same deal with Huawei devices as well (contributions are always welcome though!) Do i have to close the report or can you do that yourself?
let's just leave it at confirmed for now.. hopefully someone will fix it!
