Description Toni Asensi Esteve 2021-08-16 20:06:36 UTC
SUMMARY

If Kompare is used to compare a non-existent local file with another file: Kompare says "The URL [...] does not exist on your system", but if the non-existent file is remote, then Kompare silently fails.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Execute: kompare sftp://127.0.0.1/non-existent.txt /etc/hosts

OBSERVED RESULT
Kompare does nothing.

EXPECTED RESULT
Kompare should inform that it can not access sftp://127.0.0.1/non-existent.txt
