Description Mike Gauland 2021-08-16 01:19:36 UTC
I recently dug out my old Wacom Graphire tablet, and have noticed something odd with Digikam.

The scrollwheel on the tablet mouse works fine in all other applications, but not in Digikam. If I try to scroll through an album, for example, the wheel is ignored. However, the wheel on the old-fashioned wired mouse works just fine.

The events from both wheels, as reported by xev, appear to be the same.

I'm using the appimage release. It has been suggested that the problem may be that this release does not include the Qt tablets plugin.

Hi Mike,

Please make a try with the appimage 7.6.0 pre-release bundle of digiKam available here :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

This one include the tablet Qt plugin as you can see :

[gilles@localhost generic]$ pwd
/digikam.appdir/usr/plugins/generic

I'm not seeing any change in behaviour with 7.6.0.

Hi Mike,

The new AppImage bundle 8.7.0 pre-release for Linux based on Qt 6.8.3 is
online at usual place :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Let's me know if the problem remain.
