I recently dug out my old Wacom Graphire tablet, and have noticed something odd with Digikam. The scrollwheel on the tablet mouse works fine in all other applications, but not in Digikam. If I try to scroll through an album, for example, the wheel is ignored. However, the wheel on the old-fashioned wired mouse works just fine. The events from both wheels, as reported by xev, appear to be the same. I'm using the appimage release. It has been suggested that the problem may be that this release does not include the Qt tablets plugin.
Hi Mike, Please make a try with the appimage 7.6.0 pre-release bundle of digiKam available here : https://files.kde.org/digikam/ This one include the tablet Qt plugin as you can see : [gilles@localhost generic]$ pwd /digikam.appdir/usr/plugins/generic [gilles@localhost generic]$ ll total 336 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 64496 janv. 20 04:53 libqevdevkeyboardplugin.so* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 52136 janv. 20 04:53 libqevdevmouseplugin.so* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 48064 janv. 20 04:53 libqevdevtabletplugin.so* <<<<<-----!!!!! -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 101896 janv. 20 04:53 libqevdevtouchplugin.so* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 72656 janv. 20 04:53 libqtuiotouchplugin.so* [gilles@localhost generic]$ Best regards Gilles Caulier
I'm not seeing any change in behaviour with 7.6.0.
