Description David 2021-08-12 20:55:37 UTC
SUMMARY
In Okular, if I copy some piece of a PDF page as image, it will copy it with the same resolution with which it's being displayed according to the current zoom level. More often than not, one wants a high-resolution copy instead, for which the zoom level in Okular should not affect the resolution/quality of what was copied.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open some large PDF image.
2. Zoom it out so that it shrinks compared to the original size.
3. Try to select a small part of the image with "Area Selection" (Ctrl + 3).
4. Copy said selection as an image and paste it somewhere.
5. Inspect the image (resoltion, quality).

OBSERVED RESULT
Should copy the image with the same resolution as it had in the PDF.

EXPECTED RESULT
Copies the image with a resolution determined by the current zoom level.
