SUMMARY
Would it be possible to have an option to display the timezone code in timezone list and search? The current city based notation of the clock is of zero use to me since most event start announcements on the internet are displayed as a code. Usually people put PST/EST/GMT/JST as their start time. It would also be easier to search for.

Yeah, we already let you do this for the display on the panel representation of the applet, but not the popup, the search list, or the time zone list on the settings page. Seems reasonable.

I still wish to see this feature implemented.

This has been sneakily been implemented some time ago. Most timezone codes are there, but JST is missing.

Also the comma at the end is ugly. Forgot to text to the attachment.
Comment 6 Nate Graham 2025-01-27 17:54:54 UTC
That probably appeared by accident, and isn't present in the new map view merged for Plasma 6.3. So this is still valid.
Comment 7 Antti Savolainen 2025-01-27 17:57:15 UTC
I'm assuming this was caused by a tzdata update.
