After sleep and resume my audio is borked.  I need to restart pulseaudio using pulseaudio -k and restart any applications that use sound.  Sometimes I also need to restart plasmashell to permit the mixer to operate the volume controls.

This problem seems to wax and wane with updates (ubuntu 20.04) but never goes away.  Sometimes it resumes with sound (around 1 in 20 times).  It's quite irritating.

Sounds like a pulseaudio issue to me if you need to restart it.
