Qt Version: 5.15.2
Frameworks Version: 5.83.0
Operating System: Linux 5.13.8-200.fc34.x86_64 x86_64
Windowing System: Wayland
Drkonqi Version: 5.22.4
Distribution: Fedora 34 (KDE Plasma)

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
 * Typing "case QEvent::Gesture:" in konsole/src/terminalDisplay/TerminalDisplay.cpp::event
 * Typing “QEv:” in the same file (while auto-suggest shows “QEvent” as top result.

- Additional Information
 * Auto-suggest was showing “GestureType” as the top suggestion when “:” was pressed.
 * Typing “case QEvent::GestureB: ”, then editing to “case QEvent::Gesture:” does not trigger the issue.

- Custom settings of the application:
 * Touchscreen device on Wayland/Plasma
 * Using maliit keyboard
  * Mallit-keyboard auto-suggest, auto-complete, auto-caps all disabled

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Comment 1 Nate Graham 2021-08-19 17:48:03 UTC
Cannot reproduce.
Comment 2 Christoph Cullmann 2021-12-28 21:03:08 UTC
I would like to fix that, but I would need more info where inside this function

0x00007ff7c199b8a5 in KateViewInternal::inputMethodEvent(QInputMethodEvent*) () from /lib64/libKF5TextEditor.so.5

it crashes.

Could you rerun it with a debug build?
