Description jonbernard 2002-06-18 16:20:37 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package:           kmail
Version:           1.4 (using KDE 3.0.1 )
Severity:          normal
Installed from:    SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:

Sometimes my laptop will freeze when it attempts to go on standby forcing me to powercycle it. This time when the machine came back up the Identity and Network settings and all my filters had been lost from Kmail.

I'm running the Reiserfs on the relevant partitions and it reported nothing other than that a few transactions needed to be replayed and a few unlinks completed: ie the problem seems to be a Kmail one.

Nope it's a Reiserfs problem. There have been some people with this proble=
m.=20
Reiserfs makes sure your filesystem is in a consistent state but that does=
=20
not mean that information can be lost or files can be corrupted.
There have been some bugs in Reiserfs (by the way) that kind of forced thes=
e=20
problems. Since it's no kmail problem I'll close that report.
