SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open settings 
2. Click appearance 
3. Try downloading a new theme

OBSERVED RESULT
Trying to download a theme very often results in a network error 2: Connection closed. Maybe a problem with my location as I am located in Europe not in the US.


EXPECTED RESULT
Being able to download a theme

I can reproduce this.  Also on other 'get new stuff' commands (e.g. System Monitor => Get new pages, KDevelop=>Get more templates).

That means there's a network error. :) In this case, I believe the store's servers are known to be kind of unstable right now.

Yes of course it means that there is a network error. Aren't these servers hosted by KDE?

No. They are hosted by Pling, which is owned by Blue Systems, a KDE Patron. But not KDE itself.
