SUMMARY As it is right now the search just finds application manuals or man pages with the words searched for. The problem is that if you are using a product, say kate for example, and want to find help on a specific topic the help tends to be all over the place encompassing any and all product manuals. Search should stay within the relevant manual that got you here, e.g pressing F1 in kate should stay within the kate handbook and thus searches should take you to places in that handbook. Here is an example: open kate in Kate under tools->Scripts i see "Quick coding" so, whats that about? press F1 enter quick coding what comes up is kaddressbook - Glossary which is irrelevant to my quest to find out what the heck Quick Coding is Try anther example but this time pick Bookmark (this will work) A list of manuals comes up and this time Kate is one of them, clicking on kate opens to the proper page where Bookmark is described. WISH: If the manuals where individually searchable much as you would grep a file it would be a big improvement SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: openSuse Tumbleweed (available in About System) "About KDE" no longer shows KDE/Plasma version information!
