mockup of how vertical tabs could look

This is a feature request for an option to move the tab bar from the default horizontal orientation, to a vertical orientation. Attached is a mock-up of how a vertical tab list could look (shown 8 random tabs open).

Motivation is similar to moving the Plasma task bar to the left or right side of the screen, or using a web browser with a vertical tab bar (e.g. Vivaldi built-in, chrome or firefox with plugins like tree-style tabs). As a multi-tab multi-window junkie, I'm willing to sacrifice horizontal space to have dozens of tabs/windows open and easily read all the titles and rearrange them.
