SUMMARY When viewing the INSTITUTIONS tab, Liability account balances show in green and should show in red STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create Asset and Liability accounts 2. Assign above accounts to same Institution 3. View Institution tab OBSERVED RESULT Both Asset and Liability accounts with Green text as if they are both positive amounts. Total Balance for institution correctly appears in green or red depending on whether it is positive or negative. EXPECTED RESULT Liability balances should appear in red text since they are negative numbers. Similar Issue, using Windows platform with latest master build version (5.1.80) When viewing the Accounts tab, same behavior. At least for me, it appears it's only a display issue as the actual calculation/reporting of Net Worth (as displayed on the bottom of the screen) is being done properly, but still it's problematic to see your liability accounts as green with positive values.
I just rediscovered this in master, and it looks like it had been fixed previously (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=346009) Originally reported against 5.1.x Appimage - I see in compiled source from git master on Linux. I believe it is only a display issue in the Accounts View, although using red for liabilities and expenses might be better. However, on the Institutions View, some distinction is really necessary, as is correct calculation of Total Value.
