SUMMARy when giving a presentation via one of the video conferencing tools, the presentation screen can not be selected for presentation. The reason probably is that the original screen still is open. Full screen mode, however, works with the video conferencing tools. Unfortunately here I can not draw on the slides with my graphics tablet. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. Works fine with MS Teams (full-screen presentations, drawing with tablet on slides) in Plasma. What window manager do you use (GNOME's mutter?)? Thanks in advance for your answer.
I use KDE and Zoom, BigBlueButton or Webex for the video conference. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ertel http://www.hs-weingarten.de/~ertel Institut für Künstliche Intelligenz http://iki.hs-weingarten.de Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten Email: ertel@hs-weingarten.de Postfach 3022, D-88216 Weingarten https://www.scientists4future.org Tel: +49-751-501-9721 oder +49-751-501-9870 privat: +49-751-553814 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Am 20.07.21 um 11:02 schrieb Yuri Chornoivan: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440063 > > Yuri Chornoivan <yurchor@ukr.net> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > CC| |yurchor@ukr.net > > --- Comment #1 from Yuri Chornoivan <yurchor@ukr.net> --- > Works fine with MS Teams (full-screen presentations, drawing with tablet on > slides) in Plasma. Just tested the drawing on the slides in Zoom (5.4.9, Plasma 20.12, Mageia 8) with Zoom's "Annotate" feature in Okular's full-screen mode. It works as expected (Huion H430P tablet). The Okular tools are inaccessible though due to the Zoom showing its control panel in the place where Okular's panel should be (top edge of the screen).
Are you using Plasma Wayland or Plasma X11?
I am using KDE-Plasma-Version 5.18.5 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ertel http://www.hs-weingarten.de/~ertel Institut für Künstliche Intelligenz http://iki.hs-weingarten.de Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten Email: ertel@hs-weingarten.de Postfach 3022, D-88216 Weingarten https://www.scientists4future.org Tel: +49-751-501-9721 oder +49-751-501-9870 privat: +49-751-553814 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Am 20.07.21 um 23:05 schrieb Albert Astals Cid: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440063 > > Albert Astals Cid <aacid@kde.org> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > CC| |aacid@kde.org > > --- Comment #4 from Albert Astals Cid <aacid@kde.org> --- > Are you using Plasma Wayland or Plasma X11? >
To check whether you use X11 or Wayland, you can open the “Info Center” (usually installed with Plasma, available in the app menu section “System”), and look for the line that starts with “Graphics Platform:”. There is also a button “Copy to Clipboard”, which is intended that you can copy all the information and paste it here in the Bugzilla ticket. :)
I did this already. What I find there is: > Operating System: Kubuntu 20.04 > KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 > KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 > Qt Version: 5.12.8 > Kernel Version: 5.4.0-77-generic > OS Type: 64-bit > Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40GHz > Memory: 7,6 GiB when I move the mouse over "Grafische Informationen" a little window appears showing: > OpenGL > Wayland > X-Server I hope that helps W. Thanks. It still doesn’t say which of these ones you use, but on Kubuntu you would need to explicitely enable Wayland. Therefore, you probably use X11. I linked a similar bug report. Maybe you can try my idea for a workaround: Right-click the Okular presentation window’s item in the task manager / panel, and toggle the More Actions -> Fullscreen option.
If in the KDE control panel I right click on the Okular item there is no option More Actions -> Fullscreen --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ertel http://www.hs-weingarten.de/~ertel Institut für Künstliche Intelligenz http://iki.hs-weingarten.de Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten Email: ertel@hs-weingarten.de Postfach 3022, D-88216 Weingarten https://www.scientists4future.org Tel: +49-751-501-9721 oder +49-751-501-9870 privat: +49-751-553814 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Am 22.07.21 um 00:18 schrieb David Hurka: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440063 > > David Hurka <david.hurka@mailbox.org> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > See Also| |https://bugs.kde.org/show_b > | |ug.cgi?id=421206 > > --- Comment #8 from David Hurka <david.hurka@mailbox.org> --- > Thanks. Since bug #421206 seems to have been fixed since 21.12+, can you please check if you can still reproduce it with some recent Okular version?
thank you very much for this bug fix. Presentation of Okular (1.9.3) in fullscreen mode with Bigbluebutton works now perfectly. regards Wolfgang Ertel --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ertel http://www.hs-weingarten.de/~ertel Institut für Künstliche Intelligenz http://iki.hs-weingarten.de Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten Email: ertel@hs-weingarten.de Postfach 3022, D-88216 Weingarten http://s4f-ravensburg.de Tel: +49-751-501-9721 Tel. privat: +49-751-553814 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Am 25.07.22 um 15:44 schrieb postix: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440063 > > postix <postix@posteo.eu> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Status|REPORTED |NEEDSINFO > Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO > CC| |postix@posteo.eu > > --- Comment #10 from postix <postix@posteo.eu> --- > Since bug #421206 seems to have been fixed since 21.12+, can you please check > if you can still reproduce it with some recent Okular version? >
Great to hear! :)
