Created attachment 140066 [details] Example of the dots, they change location SUMMARY When canvas is zoomed out, specifically so that the grey "table" area shows up, square artifacts show up. The artifacts are of the previous canvas color (or grey if we start with a white canvas) and their position is randomized. The further zoomed out they are, the higher the saturation. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Simply opening the program and zooming the canvas out causes the artifacts to show up. Alternatively: zooming to 100% (Ctrl 0) and then zooming out with the scroll wheel or by pressing the "-" key 5 times makes them show up. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - If I change the canvas color while already zoomed out, the artifacts aren't made. - They are mostly cosmetic and do not show up in the exported file

Are you really using the CPU canvas? Or are you using the OpenGL canvas -- i.e. canvas acceleration is enabled?
I need to check. I kinda just picked that option because it's the only that said canvas. I'm not super programming savvy, sorry

Hi, jojopayano! Can you try two options: 1) Go to Preferences->Display, enable Canvas Graphics Acceleration, switch to DirectX, then restart Krita 2) Try disabling View->Instant Preview Does any of that help?
