The microphone on my audio interface is a mono input. Audacity correctly handles this, but Kwave forces it to stereo, and the audio from my microphone is then on the left channel. I attempted to create a new file (Ctrl N) and set it to only one track. However, when I click the record button, it creates a new stereo file, instead of recording to the one I have focused.
In the record dialog, on the 'Format' tab the 'Tracks' setting is what sets how many tracks are recorded. Set that to 1 if you want a mono recording. It would be good if the recording plugins auto-detected how many inputs were actually available and limited the number of tracks to that. Which recording method were you using? ('Source' tab, 'Recording Method' field)
