SUMMARY Now that I am using Wayland on my laptop, I realized that screenshots are not saved on the right size, 1980x1200, but in 1536x960. I am using a 125% scale by the way, which I think is the origin of the issue. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start a Plasma Wayland session 2. Set up a scale in System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Display Configuration 3. Take a screenshot with Spectacle and save it OBSERVED RESULT File has a smaller resolution than the screen. EXPECTED RESULT Scale should not change the size of the screenshots. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.12.14-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz Memory: 15.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Xe Graphics
Can you test at 200% scale temporarily and see if the resolution is correct? This will narrow down whether the problem always happens or whether it is particular to the fractional scaling use case.
