SUMMARY This warning has recently started to appear when krusader is launched in "root mode". I'm unsure if it occurred following an update to krusader or to plasma. When krusader is launched in "user mode" the warning is not shown. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch krusader in "root mode" 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Warning dialogue "Could not enter folder tags:/." EXPECTED RESULT No warning, or the ability to "Not show this warning again." SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20210701 Krusader: Version 2.7.2 "Peace of Mind" KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.12.13-1-default (64-bit) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A quick "google" indicated this may be related to "baloo" and running "balooctl purge" may "solve" the problem. I don't use baloo, it is disabled for all users, including root.
I recently had the same warnings after a system upgrade. Not in Krusader but Gwenview and for my normal user account. Exactly as you wrote, "balooctl purge" solved it for me even though i also had baloo disabled. Have you at least tried running the "purge" command as root?
>waiting for info
Ah! paul@Orion-17:~> su - Password: Orion-17:~ # balooctl purge Deleted the index database Orion-17:~ # exit logout paul@Orion-17:~> And the warning is no longer issued... Also I've just realized why I wasn't seeing the issue with my normal user accounts, they all run a script on logout which, amongst other things contains the line: rm -rf ~/.local/share/baloo/* All is OK, sorry for the noise :)
Glad it's fixed.
