SUMMARY

I upgraded my Kubuntu machine today from Groovy to Hirsute Hippo, then I installed KDE plasma latest version from Kubuntu backports PPA. In my machine I've a setup which turns on the night mode in KDE Plasma after 6:00 P.M.(Local time), when the time arrived the night mode turned on but it started flickering every 7 seconds turning it off(Yes, I counted the time...)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Logon in my account with the night mode setup previously described
2. Work normally in my Plasma session
3. The night mode turns on, but every 7 seconds it's turned off

OBSERVED RESULT
The night mode turns on, but every 7 seconds it's turned off just to be turned on again

EXPECTED RESULT
The night mode should stay turned on

This bug was reported against an outdated version of KWin. We have made many changes since the. 
If the issue persists in newer versions can you reopen the bug report updating the version number.
