SUMMARY Started about two weeks ago. It's happening because libc++1 depends on libc++1-11-dev which itself depends on libc++1-11 which is at the most recent version. However, libc++1-11-dev is a version past that, which affects libc++1. This isn't the best spot to report the dependency conflict, but this dependency conflict is causing Discover to erroneously report an update. Only figured this one out by manually updating in a command line. Removing the notification asks me to exit "discover-notifier". STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I have absolutely no idea, but it happens every time I start my PC OBSERVED RESULT Notification on the panel that there are updates available every time I restart my computer. EXPECTED RESULT Lack of a Notification on the panel every time. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 21.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is my first Ticket, I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to be laid out.
Meant to write "most recent version available." forgot to add Available to the first paragraph
As you noted discover is right here. There is an update available on your system, it cannot be installed though which discover cannot know until we try updating
