Created attachment 139684 [details] KHelpCenter French with all English pages. KHelpCenter has not been able to display translated docsmessages for years now. KHelpCenter can only display the document categories as translated, but every page remains English, even when the pages are 100% translated in the SVN. I've tested this under Archlinux: Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 I personally use Simplified Chinese (zh_CN), but I was unable to make any other locale work either. I remember to have reported a similar bug in 2018, but I was unable to find that bug in "My Bugs" list.
Works here for Ukrainian. Do not forget that it is up to the translators to generate localized docbooks with ./l10n-scripty/update_xml zh_CN Do you want me to generate these files for the Chinese locale? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi Yuri. Yes, please help us to generate the files for zh_CN. I only know about translation, and I know nothing about the other stuff... Does it mean every time we need to generate the new docbooks manually? And if so, is there a guide somewhere?

Because there is no automate to calculate when the translated docs are "ready" for prime time from the translator's point of view. > And if so, is there a guide somewhere? In our bulky "KDE Translation How-To" (I've updated it for the current state but it will be online later). https://l10n.kde.org/docs/translation-howto/doc-check-the-translation.html In short, 1. Clone the scripts into the same dir as the zh_CN Subversion catalog git clone git@invent.kde.org:sysadmin/l10n-scripty.git 2. Try something like ./l10n-scripty/update_xml zh_CN bomber 3. Install the dependencies until it works flawlessly. For the full Chinese experience, it is worth translating this very short file (you can attach it here or directly commit zh_cn.xml into the repo) https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kdoctools/-/blob/master/src/customization/xsl/en.xml
Thank you Yuri! I will read those materials and see if I'm up to the task.
