SUMMARY Effects applied to clips in project bin (e.g. Chroma Key dragged onto entire clip in project bin) stop being applied to the zones/copies of that clip in the timeline. Disabling and then re-enabling the associated timeline clips fixes the issues. Note that all of the timeline zone clips must be selected at the same time when doing the workaround, otherwise the unselected clips will have their project bin effects unapplied. I am not sure exactly what else might trigger the "forgetting" of the project bin clip effects. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Drag project bin clip into timeline twice. 2. Drag effect (e.g. Chroma Key) onto a clip in project bin. 3. Disable and re-enable one of the clips in timeline (there may be other triggers but this one seems reliable). 4. The other clip will now lose it's effects. 5. Select both clips and disable and re-enable them both. Both clips will have effects applied. OBSERVED RESULT Clip zones no longer have project bin clip effects applied. EXPECTED RESULT Clip zones always reflect the effects of bin clip effects. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 18.04 AppImage 21.04.2
Thank you for reporting. I can confirm this behavior. Only selecting both clips and disable/enable clip in the timeline brings back the effect on both clips.
