starting kdenlive always uses a dark color scheme for its UI, despite all other applications use my globally defined light color scheme.

Beside this, the menu popup panes are light but no text is displayed (see screenshot attached).
I'm using qtcurve widget style.

Kdenlive uses only the KDE breeze theme. I'm not sure it works with KDE qtcurve widget style.

Thanks for your report! Kdenlive is optimized to be used with the breeze style as @emohr already wrote. However you can adjust style and color theme in the "Settings" menu. Please try if it helps. Also please tell us which packaging type you use (flatpak, appimage, ppa, system package,...)

I am using the rpm package from openSuse Tumbleweed.
Since kdenlive is a KDE desktop application, it should work with the global settings and with any style the user choses - as all other KDE apps do I use.
I can't even try to use the settings since I can not read any text.
Also, changing a color scheme for the app inside the app is the wrong way.
We have systemsettings for a reason.
Please obey what the user defines.

I use Kdenlive 22.04.3 (the ppa version) in KDE Neon and if i open kdenlive it uses the default breeze dark color scheme in the settings standard is selektet. if i click again on standard it uses my globaly defined colorscheme but if i restart kdenlive it goes back to breeze dark, but shows standard anyway

This is fixed in 22.08 (release soon by the end of August)
